GA International is proud to announce that it has developed an exclusive line of CryoSTUCK direct thermal labels that firmly adhere to already frozen surfaces and containers under deep-freeze conditions (-80°C), eliminating the need to thaw frozen samples prior to labeling. The labeled containers can then be returned to cryogenic storage in liquid nitrogen Dewars (-196°C) or ultra-low temperature freezers for long-term cryopreservation.
These direct thermal CryoSTUCK labels can also withstand exposure to various solvents and chemicals, such as xylene, alcohols, detergents, and disinfecting solutions. They resist immersion in ethanol for up to 15 minutes and solvents, such as xylene, for up to 30 minutes. Unlike traditional direct thermal labels, these patented solvent-resistant labels do not darken when exposed to harsh solvents, remaining readable and scannable when printed with barcodes. Direct thermal printable, they do not require ribbons or other ink sources to print, saving time, labor, and associated printing costs.
These patented CryoSTUCK labels are available in other formats for added functionality, alongside integration with our patent-pending SimPEELTM technology, which makes peeling labels off their liner quick and easy. SimPEEL labels have a unique adhesive-free tab that ensures hands or gloves don’t come into contact with the label adhesive, rendering label application simple and hassle-free. A DYMO-compatible version of this direct thermal label is also available, which can be printed with the 450-series of DYMO LabelWriter® printers.
